Freddie Records has officially shared a first look at the cover art for 3225, the highly anticipated new album from The Godfather of Tejano, David Lee Garza y Los Musicales. The album is set to drop on all digital platforms on December 19, marking an exciting new chapter for the legendary Poteet Posse.

3225 is the group’s debut album with Freddie Records following their signing with the iconic label earlier this year—a milestone moment in a career that has helped shape the sound of Tejano music for more than four decades. The album features 13 brand-new tracks, including the chart-topping hit “Atormentando” and the newly released single “Haces Falta Tú” featuring Pete Astudillo. Additional details, including the full track list along with pre-save and pre-add information, are expected to be announced soon.

David Lee Garza y Los Musicales boast a remarkable legacy spanning over 40 years and 31 albums, highlighted by a Grammy Awardtwo Latin Grammy Awards, and countless unforgettable performances. Known for his signature accordion style and unmatched influence, Garza reflected on the group’s humble beginnings in Poteet, Texas.

“We started playing weddings and parties in and around Poteet back in the late ’60s as David Lee Garza y Su Conjunto,” Garza shared. “By 1978, we added a saxophone and electric guitar and recorded our first album under the name David Lee Garza y Los Musicales. I’ve been leading this band now for 45 years, and we’re still going strong.”

Joining Freddie Records fulfills a long-held dream for the Tejano icon.

“For years I would see all these great artists recording for Freddie, and I said, ‘One day, we will be part of the Freddie Records family,’” Garza said. “That day is finally here.”

As anticipation continues to build for 3225, Garza says the mission remains the same.

“We want to keep making people dance,” he added. “This new production with Freddie Records feels special, and I believe fans old and new are going to hear that.”

With its rich history, fresh energy, and a partnership decades in the making, 3225 is shaping up to be one of the most significant Tejano releases of the year.
