FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The New England Patriots are officially the AFC East champions following Sunday’s blowout 42-10 victory over the New York Jets, and the Buffalo Bills 14-13 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. This is the Patriots first division title since 2019, which guarantees at least one home playoff game in January.
It was a career day for quarterback Drake Maye, who delivered five passing touchdowns, including four in the first half. The win solidified an undefeated road regular season for the team.
The team concludes their regular season this Sunday, as they host the Miami Dolphins at home at 4:25 P.M. The Patriots still have a chance for the No. 1 seed in the AFC with a win and a Los Angeles Chargers victory over the Denver Broncos this Sunday.
