NATICK, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Natick group planned a fundraiser to revitalize a beloved piece in their town’s history.
The space is Clark’s Block Concert Hall, found on the third floor of a commercial building in downtown Natick.
Vincent Vittoria, one of the heads of this fundraising group, felt that it hasn’t been put to good use in a very long time.
“100 feet by almost 60 feet, over 30 feet high, just essentially used as storage and work space,” Vittoria said.
He runs a Facebook group alongside owner and interior designer of Copper Dot Interiors Karen Goodman with hopes of preserving the hall.

Clark’s Block Concert Hall was the epicenter of Natick’s social and arts scene from it’s opening in 1874 up to the 1930s.
“You look up at the building, all these really high arc windows in the center is where Concert Hall is located,” Vittoria said. “The first thing that catches your attention is the beautiful ornate ceiling, beautiful paintings on the ceiling, I like to say it makes you feel like you’re in a ballroom in a palace in Vienna.”
Vittoria has been hoping to restore it for the past decade, bringing the hall back to its original glory.
“Use it again for its intended purpose, which is to bring people together for arts, for events, for social activities,” he said.
The fundraiser will be happening on Saturday, March 22, with the hopes of raising $29,000 for a feasibility test. If the test goes well, they will be able to go forward with restoration.
“I can’t say with 100% certainty this will happen, but I strongly believe it will,” Vittoria said.
