WILMINGTON ISLAND, Ga. (WSAV) — A Wilmington Island man was sentenced to 20 years for child molestation and other charges Friday morning.
Ross Dersch, 42, was found to be possessing more than 9,000 images of child pornography and faced charges of child molestation and aggravated sexual battery against a juvenile victim in 2020.
He plead guilty to child molestation, cruelty to children and sexual exploitation, the Chatham County District Attorney's Office said.
He was sentenced to 20 years with three years to serve in Judge Lisa Goldwire Colbert's court.
