METTER, Ga. (WSAV) - The Metter Police Department (MPD) has arrested a man who broke into several cars during the Tuesday night snowstorm.
According to MPD's Facebook, Carlton Benjamin attempted to enter into citizens' vehicles and successfully broke into some. Benjamin reportedly stole items from those vehicles.
Chief Rob Shore, Sergeant Johnny Carter and Officer Jimmy Lennox were able to locate and arrest Benjamin on Wednesday afternoon.
Benjamin was charged with three counts of criminal attempt to commit entering automobile, criminal trespass, loitering and prowling and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
