CANTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — An MBTA Commuter Rail train collided with a tractor-trailer at a railroad crossing in Canton Wednesday, authorities said.

Canton Fire Chief Wendell Robery said the crash happened at around 1:40 p.m.

Officials said there were passengers onboard the train at the time of the crash. One person on the train was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the truck was not injured.

Pine Street is closed with no timeframe for its reopening, Canton police said on social media.

Stoughton Line trains will terminate and originate at Canton Center until further notice, the MBTA announced. Passengers can use shuttle busses for service between Stoughton and Canton Center.

There is no word on what caused the crash.
