The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-5) defeated the Carolina Panthers (3-3) 43-13 on Sunday afternoon in Charlotte. It was the second win in three weeks for Tampa Bay, and their first game against a divisional opponent this season.
Bucky Irving ran for 106 yards and two touchdowns to helped set the tone for the offense. Baker Mayfield made his return at quarterback, but wasn't needed to do much, only going 7-for-11 with 64 yards and a passing touchdown. Baker had missed the previous three games with a dislocated thumb.
The Buccaneers defense forced four turnovers, and sacked Carolina quarterback Bryce Young five times - he was limited to only 163 yards going 14-for-27 passing. For Tampa Bay, it snapped a streak of 12-straight one score games that dates back to last season.
The Buccaneers will look to win their second divisional game in a row when they host the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday afternoon. Kickoff between the Buccaneers and Falcons is scheduled for 1:00 PM at Raymond James Stadium on 97.9 WXTB-FM - The Mighty 98 Rock.
