Democrats used to unintentionally destroy things. Now it seems intentional.
(21:32):
There's only one population that's growing in California, my friends,
the homeless population No kidding. As this state continues to famously
bleed residents, the only population that's grown steadily under Governor
Gavin Newsom and the leftists who run that state is the homeless population.
And these are official federal records. The Department of Housing
in Urban Development says that homelessness in California is
up twenty percent from twenty-nineteen to present. And get this,
(21:53):
as a kicker, during that time, the state of California
has spent thirty-seven billion dollars. That's thirty-seven billion
with a bee. Since about twenty nineteen, Gavin Newsom and
the Libs running the state of California have spent thirty
seven billion dollars to quote combat homelessness only to have
it goes up by twenty percent. That is a criminal
waste of taxpayer money. And the Daily Signal points
(22:16):
out that the figures are even worse than that, really
since Gavin Newsom took office in twenty eighteen. They say,
if you add in twenty eighteen's figures, it's more
like a forty percent increase in homelessness since Gavin Newsom
has been governor. So come on, how can this clown
believe he could win a presidential election since he's
been the governor, companies jobs, and one point six million
(22:38):
people have moved out of California as the homeless have
moved in. That's Gavin Newsom and the Democrats record out
in California. Their attempts out there to use both state
and federal taxpayer money to quote combat homelessness has
been such a momentous failure that the Trump administration is
currently trying to cut off federal housing aid to California
(22:59):
due to ram and fraud that's been found in their homeless programs,
and accompanying Fox News story verified that losing
over one and a half million people tends to harm
your tax base too. The IRS says California has lost
many billions of dollars in income tax revenue as a
result of people fleeing the state. And this is just
the individual income tax revenue. This figure doesn't include all
(23:22):
of the losses in corporate taxes and payroll taxes, et cetera.
It's like California's leftists want to destroy their state. And
if that's not bad enough, there's a ballot proposition coming
up this fall called Prop forty, and it would impose
a five percent tax on all California billionaires to fund
even more runaway government spending. The claim is that this
(23:44):
would be only a one-time five percent tax on
all billionaires, but everyone with a brain knows what a
lie that is. Everyone should know that once you impose a tax, even if you call it
a onetime tax, it is far easier to do so the next time you need more revenue,
and the next time you need more revenue. Even dedicated lefty billionaire
(24:05):
Mark Cuban, who's a friend of Gavin Newsom's, is
slamming this is insane. He's warning that this tax is
going to drive not just billionaires out of state, but
entrepreneurs as well, he said, quote, if this passes and
it doesn't directly impact me at all, I won't be
a California resident. But you can bet if I'm investing
in a multibillion-dollar startup, I'm asking them to
(24:25):
move from California first. So, attack anyone who's productive and successful,
and welcome in anyone who's a homeless drug addict or
a metal patient. That is today's California. Enjoy the weather
and the bums peeing on the sidewalk cafes. You know,
as someone who's been watching and analyzing current events for
forty years now, it is genuinely true that as Democrats
(24:48):
and those on the left try to destroy this country
and this culture, those of us on the right constantly
have to work to clean up their messes and restore
us to sanity. That's the basic truth of it all
when it comes to life in America over the last
sixty years or so at least, it really is, And
in truth, you could go back at least one hundred
and fifty years to the Civil War when Abraham Lincoln
(25:08):
and the Republican Party emancipated the slaves and moved into
a reconstruction era that was initially working quite well until
the Southern Democrats form strategies to knock it off course
and keep the racism and the racial separation going. But
as for my purposes, here my firsthand account. I've
been watching current events and political trends for forty years,
(25:28):
and it really does hold true. As Democrats and their
left wing activists push policies that invariably end in harm
and destruction, we on the right are left to come
behind them and try to clean up the mess and
fix it all. In fact, one of the biggest reasons
that America's blue states are so screwed up in this
era is that political leaders have rigged the maps and
rigged the conditions over time to the point that more
(25:51):
reasonable people and the so-called rescuers can't win election
and do the job. The Democrats have rigged the conditions
over time to the point that in at least thirteen
states or so, they never relinquish control, and so no
Republican ever gets into office to fix things. These terrible
Democrat mayors and governors and regimes are simply replaced by
(26:11):
the next terrible mayors and governors and regimes, and they
continue the destruction. And I'm serious about this It's not
a mistake or a fluke that as dreadful and dysfunctional
as Chicago is now, Mayor Beetlejuice was followed by Brandon Johnson.
And it's not a mistake that, as terrible as Governor
Moonbeam was for California, Gavin Newsom was the next pub
(26:31):
elected instead of a Republican. The political game is so
rigged in most of our major cities and in about
thirteen blue states that more reasonable and common-sense reformers
can never win office and are never in the position
to fix things. And so, these cities and blue states
just keep circling the drain and getting worse
and worse. Here's another example of Republicans fixing things. It's
(26:54):
great to see the Trump administration finally reversing decades of
misguided and foolish feel good when it comes to conservation
and the environment. The last forty years of Democrats have
been certain that they were preserving the environment and preserving
nature by passing mindless and myopic rules related to managing
our national forests and prairie lands. Instead, their policies have
(27:15):
been a disaster and led to years’ worth of devastating
wildfires and destruction. Enter the Trump team, which has the
eco activist screaming, but is finally restoring some common sense.
This week, the Washington Times reports the US Forest Service
is aiming to open up more than forty four million
acres of national forest land to logging and to road construction.
(27:35):
The road construction is to get into the logging, but
it's a reversal of policy that goes back to at
least the Clinton era that has quote protected wildlife habitats
for decades. The story says the agency intends to rescind
a two thousand and one rule that blocked most development
and timber harvesting in certain national forests. According to EGG
Secretary Brook Rollins, this new proposal would give local forest
(27:56):
managers authority to manage that land. Rolin said, for too long,
out updated restrictions have kept tens of millions of forested
acres off limits to the very treatments that improve forest
health and reduce wildfire risk to our communities. And she
is right about that. There's a benefit to the
carefully managed logging of our national forests. It actually prevents
(28:17):
some wildfires and prevents others from getting out of hand.
But there's also the added benefit of helping to revive
the US timber industry with the logging of our national forests.
The dimwits and the Clinton administration cave to activist and
eco zealots pressure in the late nineties and implemented these
hands off rules, even though, yeah, even back then, we
on the right were detailing why such rules were stupid, which,
(28:39):
by the way, is another hallmark of American life over
the last sixty years. We on the right explain ahead
of time why the Democrats' ideas are stupid and will backfire,
only to have them ignore us and ignore all common
sense and do it anyway. You know, raising taxes actually
leads to less productivity and leads to less tax money
collected over time, not more. They raise taxes anyway.
(29:03):
You know, Obamacare will cause health insurance and health
care prices to skyrocket, and it's a stupid idea.
They do it anyway. Paper bags are made from
fast growth trees that are intentionally planted to be pulped
and made into bags, and at least they buy out
a grade, whereas plastic bags are stupid and will add
to the pollution. They mandate them anyway. You know, a
(29:25):
ban on data centers is dumb because they don't use
as much water as the alarmists are claiming, and we
can ensure they build their own power plants, which could
help our overall electric grid. Banning them is dumb.
They want to do it anyway, And I could keep
going all day here with this list. We on the
right have been correct on virtually every single item that
the left chooses to make an issue, because we really
(29:47):
do have more unemotional, common sense thinkers on our side,
and they really are on the left largely governed by emotion,
and so where they control things, they do it anyway
and end up harming their own communities and their own voters.
And a big part of their strategy when it comes
to how they remain in power anyway, is just lying
to the American people. Of course, an obvious example of
(30:08):
that right now is how this is a strong
economy that's growing stronger, and the Biden economy was horrible
and led to all sorts of problems that the Trump
administration is now trying to fix. But the Democrats and
their media accomplices on the left are simply lying and
refusing to admit any of it or report on any
of the positives. Honestly, this week's positive government numbers were
(30:29):
simply ignored by the news media, but they confirm what
I and others have been saying for at least a
year now. Great Larry Kudlow said this week, this
economy is doing far better than the press is telling us.
We are indeed in a manufacturing boom. He said, it's
the strongest in years, probably decades. He noted that Treasury
Secretary Scott Bessant keeps telling people about the one hundred
and five thousand hard goods produced jobs that were added
(30:53):
this year alone. Since Trump came into office, the economy
has produced ninety-three thousand, four hundred factory constructions. These
are great paying jobs. Meanwhile, manufacturing wages have increased by
nearly five percent so far this year, and that's really
twice the inflation rate. On top of that, Kudlow said,
we've seen almost four hundred thousand federal jobs cut and
(31:14):
almost nine hundred thousand private sector jobs created, which shows
the Trumpian reconstruction of Biden's democratic big government socialism is working.
Hudlow says, now, let's talk about affordability, and inflation. The
Democratic socialists love to talk about them, so let's He says.
It was under President Biden's big government socialism that the
consumer price index cumulatively rows twenty-one-point four percent
(31:38):
during his four years. Now recently, even with the temporary
bump and energy prices from the Iran War, Kudlow says
Trump's new Federal Reserve chairman has brought the inflation rate
down to near zero in the past couple of months.
Also talking about affordability, here's one, Kudlow says, prescription drug
prices have been plunging over the past year. They've declined
(31:58):
three-point four percent, and during Trump's second term they
have not increased in any single month. He says, clearly,
Trump's free enterprise capitalism is powering a prosperous economy, and
just as clearly, Democrats favor Medicare for all and huge
tax increases and a state run economy and open borders
and defunding the police and defunding ICE and packing the
(32:19):
Supreme Court and ending the Senate and other crazy notions
that Kudlow thinks are going to be very unpopular with
real likely voters. My friends, if elections are decided on
the economy stupid, well, then the Republicans should have a
good fall election, and no one knows that better than
the Democrats and their accomplices in the media
