President Trump said this week he would have a big announcement about election integrity on Thursday night, and he delivered.

In his address to the nation on Thursday night, President Trump announced he is declassifying evidence that shows the American election system is vulnerable to fraud and interference, both within and from foreign entities. The documents will be available for the public, and are already online, at whitehouse.gov.

Among the many examples provided by Trump from the files, he specifically mentioned China gaining access to 220-million U.S. voter files.

"Over a period of years, starting in the 2020 election cycle, the People's Republic of China carried out what is believed to be the largest compromise of election data in history," he said.

He added in his speech that there is evidence China hacked out systems and projected their influence in the 2020 election, and that it was kept from the public by the deep state within the U.S. government.

"Those responsible for sounding the alarm instead kept the information secret and hidden," Trump said.

But among an even bigger mention was that there is allegedly evidence that China paid American journalists to write negative articles about Trump.

Tony Ortis of Current Revolt says this might get brushed off, but it should be spotlighted.

"If he is able to name those journalists or those outlets, and provide substantial evidence, I think that is incredibly huge," Ortiz says.

The President also pointed to a massive voter fraud scheme in Michigan, where Democrat get out the vote groups were signing people's names to voter registration forms, and receiving gift cards for how many applications they processed.

Then he pointed to the state of U.S. elections in general, especially in the wake of California's three-week vote count for Mayor and Governor. Trump told the nation American elections are in shambles.

"This is worse than any third-world country...there is no third-world country that has elections like we have," Trump said.

Among his many citations, Trump also announced a forthcoming report by the Department of Homeland Security that says 278,000 noncitizens are registered to vote in the United States. He said this highlights the important of Congressional action, which has yet to be taken.

"Addressing this crisis of election security demands Congress must pass the Save America Act...how easy is that to do? Unless you want to cheat," said Trump.

The hopes of this release are to push election integrity, and the SAVE Act, across the finish line. But Ortiz says do not get your hopes up on that.

"A lot of these Senators and Congressman in Wahsington D.C...this news is not really news, a lot of them probably know this, and they are still not attempting to pass the SAVE act," says Ortiz.

The documents again are online for the public to view at whitehouse.gov.
