A man wanted for the sexual assault of a minor in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, has been apprehended in Florida. Christopher Horning, 45, was arrested by U.S. Marshals on Thursday (July 10) after an investigation by the Derry Township Police Department. Horning is accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in March 2026. Authorities believe he was attempting to flee the country when he was captured.
According to the Derry Township Police, Horning faces charges of statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor, and corruption of minors. The investigation began earlier this year and revealed that Horning allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse with the minor in Derry Township. Following an interview with police, Horning fled from Hummelstown, Pennsylvania, and was later found in Florida.
The arrest was part of a coordinated effort by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force. CBS21 reports that Horning's capture was a result of the task force's diligent work.
