According to a new study, moving your body does wonders for your brain. Think of your brain like a dirty sponge. When you move -- even just by tensing your abs -- you’re basically squeezing that sponge and flushing out all the gunk that builds up during the day. We knew our bodies went into "cleaning mode" while we sleep, but researchers found that a simple walk acts like a daytime power-wash for your head, keeping you sharper than you'd be without the exercise.
