Notables

Fresno State head coach Matt Entz signed his second class as the Bulldogs' head coach

Fresno State signed 19 high school student-athletes in December, and added six in the February signing period

The Bulldogs announced the addition of 18 transfers in February, all joining the program for the spring

Fresno State has 10 high school early enrollees that began workouts with the program in January. It is the most mid-year high school enrollees that the program has seen

The breakdown of the complete class of 43 athletes is: 23 offensive, 18 defensive and two specialists

The Bulldogs boasted their defensive line and defensive back rooms with seven additions to both rooms for 2026

Also of note, the Bulldogs added six tight ends to the roster for 2026, joining the five returners

The quarterback room returns just two players from the 2025 roster, and has added three this spring (one transfer, two freshmen)

In its transfer class, Fresno State signed transfers from five Power 5 programs

QB signee Deagan Rose and RB signee Maddox Merrill were high school teammates at nearby Clovis High School

WR signee Xavier Owens grew up in Los Angeles, Calif. but played his senior season of football in New Orleans, Louisiana (Edna Karr)

Fresno State signed a pair of brothers in DB Isaiah Lucero and ATH Robert Lucero

UCLA transfer defensive back Criox Stewart and current Bulldog nickelback Simeon Harris grew up together, and attended Benicia High School

Merritt College addition Jalen Harris has a long lineage of Fresno State ties, being the grandson of Bulldog great Carl Ray Harris Sr. (1969-70) and nephew of Lee Harris who was a Bulldog wide receiver (1990-93). Is also the nephew to Bulldog basketball star, Carl Ray Harris Jr. Harris ran track for one season at Merritt, and has not played collegiate football

As Fresno State builds its roster for 2026, the Bulldogs lost just three players to the transfer portal that played 150+ offensive or defensive snaps in 2025. Fresno State is one of 12 FBS programs with three or fewer portal losses of players with that impact

Fresno State also had just one coach from 2025 leave the program, but refilled the position internally
