Warriors Dump Trail Blazers

----- De'Anthony Melton scored a team-high 23 points and Jimmy Butler and Moses Moody combined for 30 as the Golden State Warriors defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 119-97 Tuesday night at Chase Center in San Francisco.

The Portland Trail Blazers faced their first game of the season without Deni Avdija on Tuesday night and the Golden State Warriors took advantage of the opportunity.

De'Anthony Melton scored a team-high 23 points and Jimmy Butler and Moses Moody combined for 30 points as the Golden State Warriors defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 119-97 Tuesday night at Chase Center in San Francisco.

Shaedon Sharpe led Portland (19-22) with 19 points on 9-of-15 shooting and Caleb Love added 17 points and seven assists.

The Warriors took control of the game with a 21-4 first quarter run and led by double-digit points the rest of the way.

Golden State led by 26 at halftime but Portland used a 19-5 third quarter run to cut the deficit to 12. The Warriors responded with seven-straight points to push their lead back to 19. Golden State would close the quarter on a 23-11 run and led by 24 heading into the fourth. The Blazers never threatened the rest of the way.

Golden State finished the game +27 from three-point range and +8 in points off turnovers.

Jrue Holiday continued to ramp up his return to action. He played 11 of his 20 minutes in the third quarter. He

Up Next- The Trail Blazers will return to Portland to meet the Atlanta Hawks Thursday night at Moda Center. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM.
