Thanks to the purging of woke DEI and LGBT material at Texas A&M, roughly 200 classes at the school are set to be altered or moved—and the left, along with their allies in the mainstream media, don’t seem very happy about it.
While many are claiming this is a major attack on academic freedom, supporters of the changes say they’re fairly minor. RNC Committeeman and Aggie alum Dr. Robin Armstrong said: “The changes that you’re going to see will predominantly affect one department—the liberal arts department—which is not a really large department at A&M, and hasn’t been traditionally.”
He added that any potential upsets or financial costs from purging woke ideology from Texas colleges—especially prestigious ones like A&M—will be worth it in the long run. That’s because, in his words: “What the universities do when they teach this DEI crap is devalue their own institutions. That’s what’s happening today.”
Armstrong also pointed out that most A&M students and parents lean more conservative and don’t want to attend—or pay for their child to attend—a woke school. He noted the simple fact that most Texas voters and taxpayers don’t want to fund a woke school either.
