A 26-year-old woman named Kathryn Nye is facing multiple charges after allegedly assaulting and threatening staff at Penn State Health Holy Spirit Hospital in East Pennsboro Township, Pennsylvania. According to the East Pennsboro Township Police Department, the incident occurred on Saturday (January 3) when Nye, who was hospitalized for mental health reasons, reportedly grabbed a female staff member's genital area and punched a security officer.

Police reports indicate that Nye also made threats to have the hospital staff sex trafficked and expressed intentions to return to the hospital with a gun. Nye was scheduled to be transferred to the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute the day following the incident.

WGAL News 8 reported that Nye was cleared twice by psychiatry as competent. During the incident, she allegedly punched a security officer and spat on another officer and a nurse. Nye claimed she made threats because she was scared and denied sexually assaulting the staff member, although she later admitted she might have brushed against the staff member's butt.

Nye has been charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, disorderly conduct, and harassment. A preliminary hearing is scheduled at MDJ Sanderson's office.
