Foo Fighters' Guitarist Broke His Foot in a "Bizarre Gardening Accident"
The Foo Fighters are poking fun at their guitarist, Pat Smear, who has to miss a few shows because he broke his left foot. They're calling it a "bizarre gardening accident, which is, of course, a nod to "This Is Spinal Tap.
Foo Fighters said, quote, "In the classic tradition of rockstars having bizarre gardening accidents, Pat Smear has apparently rung in the new year by smashing the [crap] out of his left foot."
They also posted a photo of Pat flipping off the camera while being taken away in a gurney.
The guitarist for Beck and St. Vincent will fill in for Pat while he's out.

Alter Bridge Is Back With A New Single
Alter Bridge has dropped a new song called "Scales Are Falling" just two days before their self-titled eighth album comes out (tomorrow). Singer Myles Kennedy said the song is about realizing the truth after being deceived. Guitarist Mark Tremonti said he was excited about the song's moody feel, adding that he plays a solo on the bridge while Kennedy plays the outro. This is the fourth song released from the album, following "Silent Divide," "What Lies Within," and "Playing Aces." The band will tour Europe starting January 15th and then hit the U.S. in April with Filter and Sevendust.
Tix today at 7:20, for their show on April 28th at Bayou Music Center.

(The person who posted it on YouTube also shows it in slow motion with amusing sound effects.)
