More Rain, Strong Winds, Arrive Today

Another round of rain and strong winds will move across San Diego County starting late Wednesday Morning.

This will be the sixth wave of rain the area has experienced in the past week. Miguel Miller with the National Weather Service tells KOGO News winds on Thursday could reach 55 to 65 miles per hour. A wind advisory has been issued for tonight for mountain areas.

Some areas of San Diego County on Wednesday into Thursday will get about a quarter-inch of rain, while the mountains and foothills could get higher totals.

However, it's the winds that are of concern. Miller says the winds could blow down trees and power lines.  A high wind watch will be in effect for the San Diego mountains until late Thursday afternoon.
