While Madeon’s theatrical live shows remain close to his heart, Countdown gave him the freedom to lean fully into DJ mode reacting to the crowd, throwing curveballs, and turning the set into what he described as “throwing a great party.”
With “Shelter” turning 10 this year, Madeon teased a special vinyl reissue to celebrate the milestone, calling the song one of the most meaningful of his career. Looking ahead, he revealed that 2026 will mark the full launch of his next album era, blending punk energy with dance music think Ramones meets Daft Punk along with unexpected genre twists.
When asked to sum up his new chapter in one word, Madeon didn’t hesitate: urgent. The music, he says, is about living in the moment—creating something that can only exist right now.
