NEW ORLEANS- Mayor-elect Helena Moreno has scheduled a weekend full of activity in New Orleans, leading up to her inauguration on Monday, January 12th.

Saturday January 10th

All In for Our Community: A Day of Service

9:00 AM  12:00 PM

Citizens are invited to roll up their sleeves and take part in a coordinated volunteer effort, bringing volunteers together across five City Council districts to support beautification and improvement projects at parks and playgrounds, and recreation centers. Individuals, families, faith-based groups, schools, nonprofits, companies, and civic organizations are encouraged to participate.  Click here to sign up

All In for Our Culture Festival

Following the Day of Service, residents are invited to gather at Lafayette Square for the All In for Our Culture Festival, a free, public celebration honoring exactly what makes us strong, New Orleans’ people, music, food, culture, and community. The festival features Big Sam's Funky Nation, The Roots of Music, Rockin' Doopsie and Zydeco Twisters, Cha Wa, DJ Jess, and is hosted by iHeart Media's own Uptown Angela.

Sunday January 11th

Virtual Inauguration Mass

St. Louis Cathedral

The Inauguration Mass will be broadcast on local television stations and streamed online, offering residents across New Orleans the opportunity to share in this moment from home, with family or alongside their communities. How to watch

Monday January 12th

Saenger Theater

The Inauguration Ceremony marks the swearing-in of Mayor-elect Helena Moreno and the newly elected leaders of the New Orleans City Council. The program will include musical selections and ceremonial moments that honor the occasion and celebrate the spirit of the city.

The ceremony will be broadcast live so that all residents can take part, whether from home, work, school, or community gathering spaces. How to watch
