Rochester Woman Charged in Accident that Killed Son

A Rochester woman has been charged with manslaughter after causing an auto accident that led to the death of her son.

38-year-old Aneka Connor was arrested after a Monroe County Grand Jury indicted her in connection with the incident on October 10th.

They say Connor argued with her 16-year-old son, Ca'hry Gibson, over his cell phone.

She went to drive off in her car, but as she was backing out of the driveway,

Ca'hry ran out of the house and jumped onto her car.

Police say Connor then accelerated forward at high speed, causing the teen to fall onto the road.

He died of his injuries despite life-saving efforts.

Connor is being held on $35,000 bail and will be in court on January 5th.
