Wrapping up a busy New Year's Eve, President Trump announced that the National Guard will be removed from 3 cities: Los Angeles, Chicago, and Portland.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said, "All 3 cities would be gone, if not for the federal government stepping in. We will come back perhaps in a much different and stronger form when crime begins to soar again."
His announcement comes after the US Supreme Court rejected his request to allow him to deploy the guard to Chicago to protect ICE agents as part of the administration’s ongoing immigration crackdown.
The president adding: “We will come back, perhaps in a much different and stronger form, when crime begins to soar again - Only a question of time!”
