FLORIDA - Florida tourism saw a modest increase in visitors during the third quarter of 2025, continuing the state’s long-term trend of strong travel demand despite declines from certain international markets.
According to state tourism estimates, Florida welcomed approximately 34.34 million visitors between July and September 2025, up slightly from about 34.24 million during the same period in 2024.
The growth was primarily driven by domestic travel, which remains the backbone of Florida’s tourism economy.
Roughly 31.45 million visitors came from other parts of the United States in the third quarter, marking a small year over year increase compared to last summer.
Domestic travelers continued to choose Florida for beach vacations, theme parks, and major events during what is typically a slower seasonal period for tourism.
International travel outside of Canada also showed improvement.
Overseas visitation reached an estimated 2.34 million travelers, exceeding third quarter totals from 2024 and reflecting continued recovery in long haul travel demand compared to pre pandemic years.
Canadian visitation, however, declined again.
About 507,000 Canadian travelers visited Florida in the third quarter of 2025, down from roughly 597,000 in the same quarter last year.
Canadian travel volumes remain well below pre 2020 levels, continuing a trend seen throughout the year.
Through the first nine months of 2025, Florida recorded nearly 109.8 million total visitors, representing a slight increase compared to the same period in 2024.
State tourism officials note that steady domestic demand has helped offset softer performance from Canada, keeping overall visitation growth positive as Florida heads toward the end of the year.
