Brown University is outlining new security measures following the deadly campus shooting on December 13th.
In a letter to the university community, the interim vice president for public safety said the changes are being made to create a safe and secure campus.
Hugh Clements says there will be an increased police presence in academic buildings and residential areas, as well as more blue light phones and panic buttons on campus.
In addition, all buildings will require a card or University ID for entry and additional security cameras will be put in place.
Clements says safety training and active-shooter preparedness training will be offered to the Brown community during the spring semester.
