WEST MICHIGAN -- Several communities will be holding New Year's Eve celebrations tonight.
In downtown Grand Rapids, overnight guests at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel and the J.W. Marriott will attend ballroom bashes, including live music in the Amway Grand's Ambassador Ballroom. The festivities kick off at 8 o'clock outside the downtown convention center in Muskegon, followed by the ball drop at midnight.
Cedar Springs will hold a New Year's Springing Eve Ball Drop in its downtown fom 9 p.m. to 12:15 a.m. Allegan will be holding a riverfront celebration, starting at 8 o'clock. And Grand Haven's party begins at 9 o'clock, with fireworks going off after the balldrop there.
