A Wind Advisory remains in effect until 1 a.m. Wednesday.
West winds of ten to 20 miles per hour are possible along with gusty winds that could blow around unsecured objects.
The winds could blow down tree limbs and cause power outages.
The strong winds could also make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles so motorists should use extra caution.
The Steamship Authority says gusty winds are in the forecast for today and that could lead to cancellations on both the Hyannis-Nantucket and Woods Hole-Martha's Vineyard routes.
Travelers should monitor the weather and check the SSA website for service updates.
Change and cancellation fees are being waived for travel scheduled for today.
