City officials announced several temporary changes to trash and recycling services around the New Year holiday. Regular Thursday trash pickup will move to Friday, January 2, but cardboard collection will be suspended that day. In addition, the Recycling Convenience Center and Mobile Unity will be closed on Thursday, and there will be no bulk or yard debris pickup on Wednesday, December 31.

Residents should also prepare for the city’s updated sanitation schedule, which officially begins Monday, January 5. Under the new system, bulk and yard debris will be collected on residents’ normal trash day, but only if scheduled in advance through ReCollect. Friday trash service will also be shifted to Wednesday. The city encourages residents to review the updated collection map online for full details.
