It's back to school today for kids across Texas, and with the start of a new year, there has also been the return of Bible studies in many classsrooms.
"This has been a long time coming" said Amanda Head who wrote about it for 'Just The News', "I think for a lot of Americans, they have recognized the removal of biblical tenets in their children's schooling."
As Head shares in her column, the group LifeWise Academy has released the 'Bible education program' which allows students to attend off-campus religious instruction during school hours, has expanded to 36 states and nearly 100,000 students in the 2025-26 school year, citing strong parental demand and new supportive laws. Their initial goal was to reach 25 schools by 2025, and they are presently at nearly 1,100 schools.
And support for bringing Bible's back to schools has been big. The numbers don't lie.
"78% of 1,000 registered U.S. voters support teaching moral and character education in public schools" Head told KTRH, "67% favor offering Bible-based lessons during school hours", something that is now catching on all across the country.
Then there's the left, which continues to fight anything and everything, in court.
"The left is always going to find whatever venue they can to fight against the Kingdom with a capital K" noted Head, "They are going to fight it culturally, they are going to fight it socially, they are going to fight if judicially, and that's what they are doing here."
Case in point, here in Texas, where the left is trying to block the display of the Ten Commandments in public schools.
