An LSU nursing graduate says she wants to return to Louisiana after being deported to her native Honduras.
Vilma Palacios was placed on the deportation flight on Sunday, the same day her relatives from New Orleans had planned to visit her at the ICE facility in Basile.
ICE New Orleans says the 21-year-old had been in the US illegally for 15 years, and that her family neglected to "find a way for her to obtain legal status."
