A Hampden County Correctional Officer is in need of help.
Officials say Leenayhsia Pabon was seriously injured in an off-duty accident in Springfield on December 20th.
The mother of two young children remains hospitalized in stable but critical condition.
“When something like this happens, it affects all of us. Especially during the holiday season, moments like these remind us how closely connected we are as a department and as a community," said Sheriff Nick Cocchi. "I've been in contact with her mother and reaffirmed that we are here to help wherever we can. Our hearts are with Officer Pabon, her children, and her loved ones as we continue to pray for her strength and recovery."
Donations are being accepted through the Hampden County Sheriff's Office.
