The Blood Center is calling for blood donations to honor the memory of those who died in the Bourbon Street terrorist attack a year ago.
After the New Year's Day attack, 57 people received emergency medical treatment, including blood transfusions.
The Blood Center says donations usually drop off from Thanksgiving to the end of the year.
The web site of the Blood Center tells interested donors where they can go to roll up a sleeve.
