(Nebraska) -- The state of Nebraska will receive millions in federal funds for a proposal to improve healthcare in rural areas.
$218 million will go toward the state's efforts aimed at strengthening healthcare in rural communities. The state will receive the federal funding for the first year the five year grant. Under the $50 billion dollar Rural Health Transformation Program, all 50 states will be awarded federal funding for efforts to strengthen and modernize rural healthcare nationwide.
