Justin Bieber took to Instagram with a heartfelt message about his experiences in the music business, saying he doesn’t see himself as a “product” and pushing back against how the industry can treat artists like commodities.

According to Billboard Canada, in the post he emphasized that he’s speaking from a place of healing, not bitterness, and that he’s learned a lot about identity and worth after years in the spotlight.

They note Justin wrote that while he doesn’t want revenge against the industry, he does want it to become “safer, more honest, more human” — reflecting a desire for changes that protect artists emotionally and creatively.

He also stressed personal identity, saying he’s more than what the industry expected of him and framing his life now around growth and restoration rather than being shaped by commercial demands.
