Palm Beach County, FL - A shocking case of alleged animal cruelty is under investigation after a chicken was found burned alive at a Florida intersection, according to local law enforcement.

Deputies with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a disturbing scene at a busy roadway intersection where witnesses said a chicken was intentionally set on fire.

When deputies arrived, they confirmed the animal had suffered fatal injuries consistent with being burned while alive. Authorities described the incident as an apparent act of animal cruelty and immediately opened an investigation.

Investigators say the incident occurred in a public area with regular vehicle traffic, raising additional concerns about safety and potential witnesses.

At this time, deputies have not identified any suspects and no arrests have been made.

A review of available arrest records confirms that no individual has been charged in connection with the incident as of the latest update from the sheriff’s office.

Law enforcement officials believe the act was intentional and are asking anyone who may have seen suspicious behavior in the area to come forward.

Detectives are working to determine how the chicken was obtained, who allegedly set the fire, and whether the act was carried out by one person or multiple individuals.

Authorities are also checking for surveillance footage from nearby businesses and traffic cameras that may help identify those responsible.

Under Florida law, intentionally torturing or killing an animal can result in felony charges if suspects are identified and evidence supports prosecution.

Deputies emphasized that the investigation remains active and that tips from the public could play a key role in solving the case.

Anyone with information related to the incident is encouraged to contact local law enforcement.
