"I think it's going to go good with Putin."
The president said he will meet with Putin "as much I want."
The report says the latest plan from Zelenskyy is a 20-point proposal that would freeze the war on its current front line but open the door for Ukraine to pull back troops from the east, where demilitarized buffer zones could be created, according to details revealed by Zelenskyy this week.
A senior U.S. official described the discussions as "positive and constructive," claiming the administration has made more headway in the past two weeks than has been achieved in the last year of stalled diplomacy.
The planned meeting between Zelensky and Trump is set for Mar-a-Lago, Florida, on Sunday, amid a recent Russian attack Saturday on the Ukrainian Capital- Kyiv. Reports of massive explosions with Ukrainian military missile deployment in response.
This could potentially delay the agreement. February 24, 2026, will mark 4 years since Russia invaded Ukraine.
