After Alienation was named Rock Album of the Year for 2025, Three Days Grace vocalists Adam Gontier and Matt Walst reflected on the music and moments that stood out to them during the year.

Gontier pointed to Sleep Token as a major standout, calling the band “so different and so good,” and praising their ability to break away from familiar rock formulas. He also highlighted Bad Omens, saying the group’s melodies and production are “next level,” making their albums ones he returns to repeatedly while traveling.

Walst, meanwhile, said one of his favorite releases of the year came from Nothing More and their album Carnal. A longtime fan of the band, Walst noted that he “knew early on they were going to be special,” adding that touring together only deepened his appreciation for their music. He also referenced the shared creative connection through producer Zakk Cervini, who worked on both projects.

Looking back on 2025, Walst said the year’s tours left the biggest impression, particularly a U.S. run with Breaking Benjamin and a sold-out hometown show in Toronto that drew 16,000 fans. Gontier added that meeting longtime supporters night after night has been especially meaningful, calling the experience “crazy” and a reminder of how far the band has come.

The band plans to take a short break for the holidays before returning to writing, with new ideas already in motion. Three Days Grace will continue supporting Alienation with a major world tour slated for 2026.
