A man is charged with murder in connection with the death of another man, said to be his friend.
Police and firefighters were called on Christmas morning to a home not far from the South Sam Houston Tollway at Almeda School Road, where they found a truck on fire.
The discovery of a man's body inside the burning truck let to investigation that revealed the dead man had been shot and killed before being burned in the pickup.
The two men apparently knew each other and were friends, though it's unclear how close they were.
Indications are there was an argument on Christmas resulting in the killing, with the resulting investigation leading to arrest warrants for felony murder and tampering with evidence charges.
The suspect, identified as 44-year-old Ernesto Bustamante, was arrested Friday.
There are reportedly questions as to whether Bustamante is an American citizen.
