Two teenagers were arrested after a high-speed chase involving a stolen vehicle ended in a crash in Warren County. On Saturday night (December 20), State Police attempted to stop a vehicle on State Route 4 in Fort Ann, driven by an 18-year-old who refused to comply. The driver turned off the car's headlights and sped away, prompting a pursuit that was eventually called off near the Warren County line on State Route 149 due to safety concerns, as reported by WNYT.

The vehicle, reported stolen from Rochester, Vermont, earlier that evening, was later found crashed near Bay Road by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office. The 18-year-old driver attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended. A 17-year-old passenger was also taken into custody. According to CBS6 Albany, the driver was found to have a blood alcohol level of 0.12%.

The 18-year-old faces multiple charges, including Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), Reckless Endangerment, and Resisting Arrest. The 17-year-old faces a charge of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd, a class “D” felony. The younger teen was released to a guardian with an appearance ticket for Warren County Youth Part Court, while the older teen was arraigned and released under the supervision of the Warren County Probation Department, as detailed by New York State Police.
