Palm Coast, FL - A Palm Coast woman connected to a local law enforcement officer is facing felony charges after investigators say she allegedly stole thousands of dollars in merchandise from multiple Target stores across Central Florida.
According to an arrest report from the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, 37 year old Jessica Finn was arrested Tuesday on a felony retail theft warrant following a months long investigation into a series of alleged shoplifting incidents.
Detectives say Finn is accused of stealing merchandise valued at approximately $5,000 from Target locations in Palm Coast, Port Orange, and Daytona Beach.
Investigators allege Finn used a variety of methods to remove merchandise without paying, including switching price tags, concealing items inside clothing, and removing security devices inside store fitting rooms.
The arrest report states the stolen items included clothing, cosmetics, and baby monitoring equipment.
Authorities estimate roughly 1,300 dollars in merchandise was taken from the Palm Coast store, with the remaining value tied to thefts at the other locations.
Detectives also allege that several of the items were later listed for sale on Facebook Marketplace.
According to the report, investigators arranged an undercover meeting posing as buyers.
When Finn arrived at the agreed location, she was taken into custody without incident.
The sheriff’s office confirmed that Finn is the estranged wife of a Flagler County Sheriff’s Office deputy.
Both Finn and the deputy told investigators that he had no knowledge of the alleged thefts and was not involved in the case.
Finn was booked into the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility and is being held on a $2,500 bond.
The case remains under investigation, and all allegations are pending court proceedings.
