FLORIDA - Florida children are being reassured that Santa Claus will have no trouble delivering gifts this Christmas after state officials announced a festive clearance initiative designed to keep the holiday tradition running smoothly.
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, led by Commissioner Wilton Simpson, confirmed that Santa is officially cleared to enter Florida airspace and homes statewide.
As part of the announcement, families can download and print personalized Christmas certificates stating that Santa has permission to travel freely throughout the state on Christmas Eve.
The certificates are customizable with a child’s name and are intended to be a keepsake that adds excitement to the holiday season.
The program has become an annual tradition in Florida, offering parents a fun way to build anticipation for Christmas morning while reinforcing the magic of Santa’s visit.
In addition to the certificates, Commissioner Simpson issued an emergency holiday order clarifying that Santa Claus does not need any permits, inspections, or regulatory approvals to operate in Florida.
The order symbolically removes any potential red tape that could interfere with Santa’s delivery schedule, ensuring uninterrupted gift deliveries to children across the state.
State officials emphasized that the initiative is meant to celebrate family traditions and bring joy to children during the holidays.
The clearance and certificates are purely ceremonial and do not carry any legal or regulatory implications beyond their festive purpose.
Parents and guardians can access the certificates online, create an account, and print them at home before Christmas Eve.
The program highlights Florida’s effort to engage residents in lighthearted holiday traditions while keeping the focus on family, celebration, and seasonal cheer.
