Details Emerge in Lancaster County High-Speed Chase Crash

Authorities have released more information about a high-speed chase in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, that ended in a fiery crash on Saturday (December 20). Joshua Quinones, a 33-year-old from Myerstown, is accused of initiating the chase after a series of bizarre events, including false emergency calls and robberies.

According to CBS 21, Quinones called 911 early in the morning to falsely report a house fire and later claimed to be God. Shortly after, he allegedly robbed two convenience stores, threatening employees and fleeing in a silver Ford Focus.

The chase began when police attempted to stop Quinones' vehicle, but he sped off, reaching speeds over 100 miles per hour. The pursuit continued along Route 322, where Quinones ran a red light and collided with a Ford F-150. The crash caused both vehicles to burst into flames. The truck's occupants, a husband and wife, were hospitalized with severe injuries, including life-threatening conditions for the husband.

LancasterOnline reports that Quinones faces 25 criminal charges, including aggravated assault, robbery, and fleeing an officer. He was hospitalized after the crash, but his current condition is unknown. A preliminary hearing has not yet been scheduled.
