Bond has been set at a million dollars for a man accused of trying to shoot a Canton police officer in the head.
Video from Thursday's incident in the loss-prevention office of a Walmart on Atlantic Boulevard Northeast appears to show 21-year-old Shane Newman attempting to shoot the officer, but the gun failed to fire.
Newman was tackled before he could try again. Charges against Newman include attempted murder.
