US Could Seize Another Vessel in the Caribbean

Nearly two weeks ago the US Coast Guard seized a ship from Venezeula, then Saturday another, and now officials are saying the Guard is "pursuing" another ship in the Caribbean.

US Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem has confirmed that the ship seized Saturday is among those sanctioned by the US, leaving the ship open to confiscation by the US.

Last week, President Donald Trump declared a blockade of the Venezuelan coast against ships previously sanctioned by the US.

A huge "supertanker" carrying oil was confiscated by the Coast Guard nearly two weeks ago, a ship that's now just a couple of days away from docking off the Port of Galveston, here in Texas.

As of Sunday evening, there's been very little information released about the ship being pursued by the Coast Guard, which would be the third such ship selected by the US to be boarded and possibly seized.
