(Des Moines, IA) -- People in the Des Moines area will have a chance to tour the World Food Prize Hall of Laureates Saturday morning.
The Holiday Open House is scheduled for 9am-12pm on Saturday, December 20th. The open house is a chance for people to tour the building, learn about the history of Iowa agriculture and the World Food Prize Foundation, as well as to donate non-perishable food items that will be donated to local food pantries during the holiday season. The event will feature entertainment, holiday treats, and a visit from Santa Claus himself. The World Food Prize Hall of Laureates is located at 100 Locust Street in Des Moines.
The event is free and open to the public, and people can register in advance at the World Food Prize Foundation website.
