(Midwest) -- A new report shows inflation is falling in the Midwest.

Non-partisan research organization Common Sense Institute released new research showing the inflation rate in November of 2025 was 3% down from September's 3.1%. Data from October was not available due to the government shutdown. Nationwide, inflation fell from 3%to 2.7% over the same period.

However, despite cooling inflation, Common Sense Institute found that consumer prices are up 25.8% in the Midwest since January of 2020. As a result, the typical Midwest household is spending roughly $1,266 more per month now than in 2020, with rising prices in housing, groceries, and transportation accounting for much of that increase.

The full report is available on Common Sense Institute's website.
