In the Town of Poughkeepsie, police are investigating a possible murder-suicide after a husband and wife were found dead in their home on Wednesday (December 17). Officers responded to a welfare check request at 21 Homer Place in the Greenvale Park area and discovered the couple with fatal gunshot wounds in the foyer. A gun was found near the bodies, and they were the only occupants of the house.
The Town of Poughkeepsie police, along with the Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office, are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the deaths. According to Mid Hudson News, officers assured the public that there is no ongoing threat to safety.
