Deni Avdija scored a game-high 35 points and Jerami Grant added 20 points, nine rebounds, and five assists as the Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Sacramento Kings 134-133 Thursday night at Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.
Avdija connected on two free throws with 1.5 seconds remaining in overtime to secure the win for Portland.
Portland (11-16) opened the fourth on a 20-6 run and held a 17-point lead at 111-94 with 3:28 to play. Sacramento closed the game on a 21-4 run to force overtime with the game tied at 115.
The Trail Blazers opened the overtime period on a 10-4 run following a three-point play from Kris Murray.
Sacramento (6-21) took a one-point lead with 4.4 seconds to play in overtime following a bucket from DeMar DeRozan but Deni Avdija was able to push the ball up the court without a timeout and get to the foul line.
Donovan Clingan finished with 19 points and eight rebounds but made just 5-of-13 from the free throw line. Shaedon Sharpe finished with 26 on 11-of-22 shooting and Toumani Camara added 17 points, eight rebounds, and five assists.
Up Next- The Trail Blazers will travel to Sacramento to meet the Kings on Saturday night. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 PM.
