Construction is underway on a data center site in West Feliciana Parish.
The facility on US 61 near State Highway 964 will generate an additional $90 million a year for the parish when goes online in 2027.
Parish President Kenny Havard says West Feliciana currently collects $41 million a year in tax revenue.
Havard says the new revenue will be evenly split between the parish, the sheriff's office, and the school board.
Hut 8, an energy infrastructure company, is working with Entergy to provide 330 megawatts of power to the site.
