JFK Jr. Moves To Protect Children From Transgender Operations

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was joined Thursday morning by top members of the Department of Health and Human Services to announce major changes they were making in order to protect children from gender-transition-related medical procedures.

He announced a total of six different actions, which he said were guided by “gold-standard science.” One of those actions was the signing of a declaration that gender-reassignment surgeries are not safe or effective procedures for children with gender dysphoria.

According to RFK Jr.: “These procedures fail to meet professionally recognized standards of care. Medical professionals or entities providing sex-reassignment procedures to children are out of compliance with these standards of health care.”

Another major announcement came from FDA Commissioner Dr. Marty Makary, who revealed that his agency had sent warning letters to manufacturers and retailers who had been marketing breast binders to children as a treatment option for gender dysphoria—despite known long-term health risks.

Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz also revealed new proposed rules that would prevent public dollars from being used to fund these gender transitions, saying: “American taxpayers should not have to foot the bill for ideological experiments on our nation’s youth.”
