Schenectady, New York, is gearing up for its first-ever Santacon event, set to take place on Saturday (December 20) at noon. Organized by Alyssa McKenna, the festive gathering invites participants to dress in their favorite Santa or holiday outfits and visit various local establishments, including Wolff's Biergarten, Frog Alley Brewing, and Backstage Pub.
The event aims to bring the community together and encourage exploration of the city's downtown area. According to Charley Pollard, Head of Operations at Frog Alley, "We are always looking for opportunities to collaborate with other downtown businesses and give people a reason to explore Schenectady."
Participants can collect a ballot at Frog Alley starting at 11 a.m., which will be marked at each location they visit. Completed ballots can be submitted at Frog Alley or Centre Street for a chance to win tickets to the MVP Arena and exclusive merchandise.
Businesses throughout Schenectady will offer special deals to those dressed in festive attire, adding to the holiday cheer. For more information on the event, interested individuals can visit the Discover Schenectady website.
