Authorities in DeWitt are actively searching for suspects involved in a series of smash-and-grab burglaries that occurred early Monday morning (December 15). The incidents took place at a shopping plaza on Nottingham Road, where four businesses—Wings Over Syracuse, No. 1 Kitchen, Honeycomb Bakery, and Arquette & Associates, Realtors—were targeted.

According to the DeWitt Police Department, the suspects used a car jack to smash the front doors of the businesses, causing extensive damage. They then stole cash registers from each location. The police have identified five suspects from surveillance footage and believe they fled the scene in a white Kia sedan and a dark-colored Hyundai sedan, both reported stolen from Syracuse.

The DeWitt Police Department is urging anyone with information about the burglaries or the suspects' identities to contact them at 315-449-3640 or via email at tips@dewittny.gov. The police are relying on public assistance to help solve these crimes and bring the suspects to justice.

Syracuse.com and WSYR-TV reported that the burglaries have drawn significant attention in the local community, and authorities are hopeful that tips from the public will lead to the suspects' capture.
